Delhi Drama:Kapil Mishra Tries to Meet Arvind Kejriwal at Janta Darbar

New Delhi, June 9, 2017 - Kapil Mishra along with dead AAP leader Santosh Koli's mother tried to meet Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal during janta darbar but denied permission.

After a brief lull, the daily soap opera-like tussle between sacked minister Kapil Mishra and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal played out again infront of full media glare.

Mishra, who has accused Kejriwal of corruption, and dead Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Santosh Koli's mother reached Kejriwal's residence to meet him during the daily janta durbar but were denied permission to enter Security guards prevented Mishra and others with him from entering the premises of Kejriwal's house. Mishra and his supporters tried to break the barricade put up outside the CM's house when stopped by guards.

"We are just 15-20 people, want to meet the Delhi CM. Can't he even take out time for 15-20 people. He is refusing to meet us, this shows that he has done something wrong," Kapil Mishra told reporters.

"Kejriwal had promised a CBI probe into my daughter's death. But has nothing so far. I want answers from him. Why is he shying away from meeting us?" Santosh Koli's mother told India Today.

Mishra, who held the water and tourism portfolios in the Delhi government, was first removed from the cabinet for 'non-performance'.

He was subsequently suspended from AAP after he alleged that party supremo Kejriwal accepted 'Rs 2 crore in cash' from Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain.

Since then, Mishra has been levelling allegations, mostly related to alleged financial irregularities in the AAP government. He has also staged a hunger strike seeking details of the foreign trips of some top leaders of the party.
