Students of GNG College to meet DC with woes

Ludhiana: Students of Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, are becoming more aggressive day by day from the day when a hosteller attempted suicide due to the misbehavior of the college staff. Students are claiming that the staff never dealt politely or genuinely with the students and always were rude and emotionless while dealing with the students. Not only with the students but the staff of the college is even same with the parents of the students.

Students are having so many complaints about the staff which are-

→ The college never allows taking leave even in any serious or genuine problem.

→ Some of the young teachers of the college even gave corporal punishments to the students.

→ Hostlers are not having proper facilities.

→ College Principal hardly interacts with the students even on a serious issue.

→ Staff even uses abusive language of the parents of the students.

→ The rules and regulation of the College are very hard to follow.

→ The natural troubles like maternity leave, sick leave or the death of any important family person are unacceptable excuses for the staff of the college.

After few days of the incident happened in the college when a girl attempted suicide, Zonal President SOI, Meetpal Singh Dugri claimed, “We are gathering outside the main gate of the college and along with some of the students we are going to meet Deputy Commissioner, Ravi Bhagat to discuss the matter.”

He also claimed, “Principal of the college Charanjit Kaur Mahal is legally retired from the college but because she has good hold over the management, she is still there as a principal. The students are complaining us that principal is not coming in front of the students to clear either she is willing to fulfill the demands of the students or not.”
