ISRO Successfully launched its 100th satellite – CARTOSAT – 2 series from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.

The Indian Space Research Organization(ISRO) has set a new benchmark and became an example of excellence. Todaymorning, ISRO has successfully launched its 100th satellite CARTOSAT– 2 series from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. Itwas the first satellite of 2018 which created a history. The launch was scheduledfor 09:28 am but was delayed for a minute due to fright of Collison with space fragments. 


PM Narendra Modi congratulated ISRO for theirremarkable success, tweeted - “My heartiest congratulations to ISRO andits scientists on the successful launch of PSLV today. This success in the NewYear will bring benefits of the country’s rapid strides in space technology toour citizens, farmers, fishermen etc.”


President Ram Nath Kovind also tweeted: “Launch ofIndia’s 100th satellite Cartosat-2, along with two co-passenger satellitesas well as 28 satellites of six friendly countries is a moment of pride forevery Indian. Congratulations to ISRO team of exceptional scientists. Amilestone of our country.”
