1,500 gm of smack recovered, four women arrested

Patiala: The Patiala Police claimed to have recovered 1,500 gm of smack in two different operations from the possession of four women carriers and after registrations of the case all the four accused have been taken into the police custody.

According to the Police, one such operation was conducted near the PRTC’s workshop and Gurdwara Zhall Sahib as the police party headed by the Assistant Sub Inspector Hardeep Singh got noticed two women coming towards the police party in a suspicious condition and when they are asked to stop for the checking they were stopped but during the checking 5oo gm of smack was recovered from their possession.

The Police added that both the women have been identified as Gurmail Kaur, a resident of the Sangrur District, and Mohinder Kaur, a resident of the Muradpura village in Samana sub- division.

The Police said that that a FIR No124 under Section 21/ 65/ 85 of NDPS Act against these both accused at the Lahori Gate Police Station here. Whereas in another operation a police party headed by the Sub-Inspector, Sukhdev Singh recovered 1,000 gm of Smack from the possession of two Women named Joginder Kaur and Sukhwinder Kaur both resident of the Sangrur District, during a checking near the main Bus Stand here. After the recovery of the smack a FIR No 125 under Sections 21/ 65/ 85 of NDPS Act at the Lahori Gate Police Station here has been registered.
